Library Fee Schedule (As of 10/1/2012)
Reference Service From "which vacuum cleaner should I buy?" to "what is the history of Mars exploration?" , all of your questions are important to us. Your questions are answered quickly and accurately under the guidance of a reference librarian. At this web site the Library also offers continuous access to its catalog and other reference tools available over the Internet. Internet Access The Library has eighteen Internet workstations, each with a fast, direct connection to the Internet. Use a workstation to check your web-based email, do homework research, analyze your stocks – or just find out more about your favorite professional wrestler. The Library provides Internet access with no age restrictions, so parents are encouraged to be involved with their children's Internet use. Interlibrary Loan Books and photocopies of periodical articles that are not owned by the Seguin-Guadalupe County Public Library can be borrowed through Interlibrary Loan. Anyone with a valid library card may use interlibrary loan, and in most cases the service is free. Meeting Room A meeting room with a seating capacity for 49 people is available for civic and educational groups during library hours. The use of the room is free and bookings can be made in person at the library up to one month in advance. Library Collection The Library owns a collection of over 60,000 materials, including books, videos and books on tape. The collection emphasizes popular fiction and non-fiction, as well as materials for children. We continuously add new books, and are always interested in your recommendations. Library holdings also include local history and genealogy research materials, such as Sanborn Fire Insurance Maps (microfilmed), census records for 1850 and 1860, historic photographs and microfilmed copies of local newspapers back to 1847. |
